Mr. Robert Lawrence Kier, Sr. was born September 12, 1951 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late E.K and Margaret Kier.
He attended the Lowndes County School System and was a graduate of Lowndes High School. After graduation, Robert became employed at Langdale Forest Products Company until he retired. Robert was married to the late Mary Ann Kier.
Robert placed his hands in the master’s hand, closed his eyes and entered life everlasting on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Kier; one son, Jody Lee Kier; one brother, Johnny Kier.
He leaves behind three generations to continue his legacy and celebrate his life, his children, Robert L. Kier, Jr., Richard Kier (Carol) and Jamie Kier; twelve grandchildren, Jasmine Kier, Robert L. Kier, III, Michel’le Strickland, Keyonna Kier, Brianna Kier, Takeema Roundtree, Dequan Roundtree, Elisha Kier, Elijah Kier, Alisha Kier, J’Kwon Kier and Destiny Kier; seven great grandchildren, Kingston, Za’Kari, Jayden, Ashton, Keenu, Kaeeal and Asanti ; four siblings, Flora G. Kier, Mary Ruth McDonald (Kevin), Sarah Jordan, Curtis Kier (Sandra); also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Silver Run Church Cemetery, Knights Ferry Road, Valdosta, GA 31601. Pastor Andrew Fleming, officiating.
