Ms. Shantell Tajuan Rizer was the oldest child born to Arthur and Willie Pearl Rizer on June 15, 1971. She departed this life on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center.
Shantell graduated from Valdosta High School Class of 1991 and the senior class sponsored her to attend the class trip to Disney World and as always, she enjoyed it.
After high school, she was employed by LARC Services and attended there until the state closed down and later her parents decided to keep her home. Shantell had a great life and was loved by family and friends.
Shantell is preceded in death by her oldest brother, Demarcus Rizer; her grandparents; three uncles; her eldest aunt and a nephew.
Her memories will forever be with her parents, Arthur Jerome and Willie Pearl Rizer; two loving and devoted brothers, Arthur (Nicole) Rizer of Clarksville, TN and Kenyon (Shamonti) Rizer of Valdosta, GA; one loving and devoted sister, Monica Rizer Randolph of Atlanta, GA; one special aunt, Gloria Franklin of Roxbury, MA; nine loving and devoted aunts, Rachel Simmons of Valdosta, GA, Marie Mills (Willie) of Atlanta, GA, Beatrice Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Argie Carter of Valdosta, GA, Lillie Carnegie of Lithonia, GA, Marva Sandiford of Lake Park, GA, Jan Cook (Richard) of Valdosta, GA, Rosa Vorice Washington, Bernice Laster (Edgar) of Cordele, GA and Jacqueline Wing; three loving and devoted uncles, Lymas Johnson of Valdosta, GA, Willie Franklin (Shirley) of Brockton, MA and Fred Marshall (Delois) of West Palm Beach, FL ; two nephews; two nieces; three special friends, Dorothy Askew (Aaron), Rachel Bradley and Cynthia Newsome; a host of loving cousins and friends.
The celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Pallbearers Cemetery. Pastor Oliver Bradley, officiating.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, November 27 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Though Shantell's smile is gone forever and her hand you cannot touch, you still have many memories of her that you loved so much. Her memory is now your keepsake. God has her in her keeping and she is in your heart but she will never be forgotten.
