Mr. Aresta Evans, 66

Aresta Evans was born on July 20, 1954 to the late Eddie James Evans and Lue Ethel Wrice Evans in Quitman, Georgia. He was educated in the Brooks County School System. He retired from The City of Quitman.

He met and married his beloved wife Patricia Evans, who preceded him in death. His true love was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved spending time with his great grands, laughing, joking and riding them on a trailer on the back of his lawn mower. He took pride in taking care of his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his daughter the late Amy Head (the late Darious Head, Sr.) and grandson Devontae Head.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, son Shannon Head, Miami, FL; grandson Darious Head, Jr. (Alyssa), Lakeland, GA; granddaughter Dye-Ieshia Head, Quitman, GA; great grandchildren Kaiyleanna Head, Darious Head, III, Devontae Head, Daniel Head, Daliaa Head, Demarion Head, Deasia Head, Kayenta Head, Cam’ron Head, Caleb Head; brothers Joe Willis Mobley (Merry), Miami, FL, Ervin Evans (Tina), Quitman, GA, the late Charles Evans, Joseph Evans and Eddie Evans (Velma); sisters Shirley Walker Ray (Bill), Quitman, GA, Janie Ruth Walker, Eddie Jean Torrence, Valdosta, GA, Naomi Evans of Quitman, GA which was his caretaker; a special friend India Waters, Quitman, GA as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Friday, April 2, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home lawn in Quitman, Georgia with Pastor Calvin Williams officiating. Services can be accessed via video stream at stevensmcgheefuneralhome.com and Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home on Facebook. Condolences may be shared here as well. Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
