Obituary For Arthur “Butch” Davis
Mr. Arthur Davis “Butch” was born on May 5, 1959 in Brooks County, Georgia to Bernice Davis and the late Robert Davis, Sr. He attended the Brooks County School system and he was a lifelong resident, born and raised in Quitman, Georgia. Throughout the years he worked as a handyman on various jobs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Robert Davis, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children Reco Jones, Monica Davis Blunt (Michael), Tearica Harris and John Eric Peak; his loving mother Mrs. Bernice Davis; his grandchildren; his brothers Robert Davis, Jr., James Boyd Davis, Wesley Davis (Mary), Ricky Davis and Troy Davis (Diane); his sisters Melissa Davis, Linda Davis, Opal Jones, Doreen Davis and Saress Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 10AM-7PM.
A celebration of life will be Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 3PM at Bethel AME Church with Rev. Renee Gee Theophille, officiating. Burial will follow in North End Cemetery. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration on Sunday.

Mr. Butch will be truly missed. He was my cousin but was like another father to my husband Dedrick. Every time that I would see him, he would say "Hey cuz!" We will never forget him. He was truly one of a kind. He loved his mother and cared deeply for his daughter Monica. To the family, we pray that God gives you peace and strength during this time. Love, Pam Waters Mobley
