Mrs. Carrie Bean was born on August 31, 1940, to the late Bertha Cason Miller (John) and the late Willie Davis. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, the late Clarence and Emma Line Cason.
She attended school through the Brooks County School system. She was a member of Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church and had been a member of the church choir.
She married the late Ulysses Bean in the 1960s. Although no children were born to this union; they had loving, bonus children, including Dorothy Turner (Curry), Florence Anderson Flemming, Sharonda Thomas Berrien, Kizzy Hunt, and Marquise Staten.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Roscoe Miller of SC, John Miller (Betty) of NC, Linda Robinson of NJ, Bonnie Shelton (Maylida) of Nevada, Kelly Miller (Lavern) of Crescent City, FL, Raymond Miller of Kissimmee, FL and Barbara Pugh of Crescent City, FL; aunts, Cornie Cason Sawyer of NJ, Emma M. Cason Denson, and Christine Cason Wilson, both of Crescent City, FL; in-laws John L. Bean (Lula) of Delray, FL, and Jesse Bean of West Palm Beach, FL and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles and other relatives.
The family would like to thank her doctors, nurses, hospice staff, nurses at Archbold Home Living, and her dialysis nurses for their loving care.
Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 4PM-7PM.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11AM at Old Beulah Hill Cemetery in Pavo, GA with Elder Charlie Davis, Jr., officiating. Visit this website to view a livestream of the celebration.
