Obituary For Catherine Bell

Catherine Bell was born on January 10, 1941 in Quitman, Georgia to the late Nora Reather Sirmans Bell and Prince Albert Bell. She grew up and attended church and school in Quitman, Georgia. Mrs. Bell worked in food service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Frances Lee Bell Spencer (Carl Spencer, Jr.) and three brothers, George Barfield (Lois Barfield), Willie C. Bell and James Maverick Bell. One brother-in-law, Claude Allen.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Veronica Virgil of Quitman, Georgia; one sister, Florence Allen (Claude) of Riviera Beach, FL; One sister-in-law, Velma L. Bell (Willie) of Quitman, GA; Four grandchildren, Patricia Parson, Joseph Parson, Lawrence Virgil (Jade) and Zachariah Virgil (Dricka); Twenty-one great grandchildren; Two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 12PM-7PM.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11AM at Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
