Mr. Cedrick Moore, 47

Cedrick Tyrone Moore, better known as “Big Ced” was born on July 8, 1973 at the Brooks County Hospital in Quitman, Georgia to Ranie Brown and the late Moses Moore. Cedrick attended the Brooks County School System until he reached the 10th grade. Afterwards, he attended Tuner Job Corp in the 90’s and received his GED.

Cedrick was an outgoing person and he loved working outside. He enjoyed working with his hands doing construction work, cutting the neighborhood kids hair, and he also did warehouse work. He joined the Dixie Seventh Day Adventist Church at an early age. Cedrick was also a good art student, one of the best in his class. He was good with children and he loved them; and they loved him too.

Cedrick leaves to mourn a loving and dedicated mother Ranie Brown “Ma” as he called her, Dixie, GA; One older brother: David Moore (Dirfie), Dixie, GA; Two younger brothers: Chris Moore (Courtney), Jacksonville, FL and Rondall Moore, Moultrie, GA; One biological sister: Felicia Moore Ingram (Gerald), Miami, FL; Three special, loving aunts: Ms. Bernice Scruggs, Ms. Katie Moore, Quitman, GA and Ms. Hazel Jackson, Atlanta, GA; Three uncles: Mr. Chester Scruggs, Atlanta, GA, Mr. Jones Scruggs (Lillie), Sarasota, FL and Vigil Scruggs (Daisy Mae); One sweet God mother: Margie Guylir AKA Miss Cookie; Three special God sisters: Marilyn Jones, Thomasville, GA, Tabatha Evans, Louisville, Ky and Carrie Ashley, Quitman, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private services were Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dixie Seventh-Day Adventist Church Lawn in Quitman, GA with Pastor Andre McCloud officiating. Burial followed at the Dixie Cemetery in Dixie, GA. Services may be accessed via livestream at stevensmcgheefuneralhome.com Condolences may be shared here as well.
