Deacon Carl Dennis Dasher, son of Carl Dasher, Jr., and Betty Cason Dasher, was born on December 23, 1958.
Carl Dasher attended Brooks County High School in Quitman, Georgia. On February 1, 1982, he married Joyce Ann Majors and began his own family in Dixie, Georgia. Carl set the example of a Christian husband, being devoted to his wife for 42 years. He was a loving and hardworking father to his family.
Carl Dasher became a faithful member of his mother's home church, New Jersey Missionary Baptist Church, where he became a deacon. Later in life, Deacon Dasher ensured his grandchildren regularly attended and served within the church. Deacon Dasher continued in membership and servitude until his ultimate passing.
Deacon Dasher possessed many traits which made him special: he was a hardworking father, great provider, loving husband, and doting grandfather.
Deacon Dasher never met a stranger who did not experience his love. His soprano voice would grace your ears before your eyes fell upon his stout physique and eventually lift toward his warming smile. Deacon Dasher's enthusiasm for cars and trucks inspired him to pursue his 47 year long career as a commercial certified semi-truck driver. A few of his employed companies included Pritchett Trucking, Inc., West End Milling Company, and Hadley Logging Company. He would work twelve to sixteen hour shifts, traveling across state lines to ensure provision for his family. He was intentional about spending quality time with his grandchildren and showering them with unconditional love. He taught his children how to be good, work hard, have respect for others, and love the Lord. Deacon Dasher's impact on his children will last a lifetime.
In the earliest part of the morning, September 27, 2024, Deacon Dasher answered the long-awaited, loving voice of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
