Deacon Richard Edward Jones, Sr. was born no October 4, 1940 to the late Beatrice Coleman Lee in Trenton, NJ.
He transitioned peacefully on January 21, 2023 at 4:20 A.M. at Langdale Hospice in Valdosta, GA. Richard received his education in the Trenton, NJ School System. His last employment was with Circuit Foil in Bordentown, NJ. He retired upon their closing down. Richard loved to help people. He was a very giving person. He gave a dona- tion to all charities that came by his house. He loved his crew at Quitman Dialysis, Monica, Lyndia, and the other crew. He always took gifts to show his appreciation for them taking goodcare of him.
He was a Deacon at Greater Mt. Olive M.B.C. in Hamilton Township, NJ. He was married to Ethel Huewitt Jones on September 13, 1964. Their union produced two children, daughter, Yvette D. Jones, deceased (Graham Mosley); son, Richard K. Jones, Jr. (Adran); five grand- daughters, Alika Monet Seay, Roshonda Scott Leonard who said she was his favorite, Tiffany Michell Jones Gaither, Richelle Jones, and Aquila Jones; four great grandchildren, Amariyanna Leonard, Prince Sherrod Leonard, Asia Scott, and Xyla Smith; one brother, Ramassee D. Noah Lee of Philadelphia, PA; one aunt, Joyce Payne; one brother-in- law, John Huewitt; a special niece, Carrie Ashley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
I would like to thank the nurses on the 3rd floorat South Georgia Medical Center, Wendy, Candice, Lynn and Belinda for all they did. Brooks County Swing Bed, India Turner and Raven. All the staffon the 3rd floor at Archbold Hospital and Dr. Pender for their support and our dear friends in New Jersey, Thomas Phillip and Bobby Teasley.
