Deacon Willie Ed Robinson (Pete) was born to the late Eddie and Eloise Robinson on March 23, 1940 in Mitchell County, Georgia. God called him home on September 1, 2023.
He received his early education in the Thomas County School system. He was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, in Boston, Georgia where he served as deacon under the leadership of Reverend Michael Allen Lane. He served on the Boston City Council for many years serving the citizens of Boston.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Annie Pearl Robinson, his daughter Lisa Faye Robertson, and his grandson Derek Cowart.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter Debra (Solomon) Cowart; one son Michael (Beverly) Robinson; three grandchildren Danitra Jones, Keltrice Robinson and Justin (Shantel) Robinson: a special niece, Taneshia Davis; one great grandchild, Jordan Smith; two special great nephews Mason and Wesley; one son-in-law, Bill Robertson; three siblings, Deloris (James) Hughes, Rhunette Mosley, Ethel Mae Robinson. He was preceded In death by seven siblings. He was also loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:30AM at the Boston Community Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Alexander, officiating. Livestream will be available on this website as well as our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page.
