Cleveland Williams was born in Barney, Georgia, August 26, 1932, where he received his education. He became a licensed barber for the state of Florida.
After receiving Christ as his Lord and Savior, he served in The First Born Church of The Living God as a member, deacon, minister, elder, pastor, presiding elder, and youth council president. He also served as pastor and presiding elder in The House of God.
Elder Williams was faithful. He visited the sick, bereaved families, and helped those who were in need. He served on church committees willingly. He was faithful as well in attending local, district, state, and national assemblies. No job in church was too small or too large. He was a carpenter, plumber, custodian, and pastor. Caring for others and serving were his passion. He worked faithfully for The Kingdom of God.
He worked as an employee of Miami Dade County for more than 30 years. His occupation was heavy equipment operator for roads and bridges. Elder Williams was thoughtful, kind, patient, humble, and brave.
He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Margaret Williams; a daughter, Brenda Scavella; six stepchildren that he loved and called his very own, Marvie Taylor, Vernell Coats (preceded him in death) Manda Taylor, Marion Hawkins, Margaret Penton (Aaron), Timothy Taylor (Anita); three grandchildren, Lena Coats (Rev.
