Mrs. Emma Jean Stewart-Thomas was born in Boston, GA - Thomas County on March 17, 1948 to the late Cora Lee Stewart and the late James D Stewart. Emma Jean Stewart met the love of her life and was united in holy matrimony to the late Amos Thomas on July 18, 1968. Emma Jean Thomas was a Homemaker where she took care of her family who she truly loved. She loved to cook and clean for them, it brought her so much joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Amos Thomas Sr, Son Rufus Thomas, Daughter Pauline Haggins, her parents and her special niece Katrina Daniel.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her children, her Sons Amos Thomas, Jr. and Eugene Thomas, Sr. Both of Boston GA. Grandchildren Crystal Spencer, Eugene Thomas, Jr., Christopher Thomas, Daniel (Danny) Haggin and Moesha Mitchell, six great grandchildren who she truly loved with all of her heart. Also her siblings Dorothy Williams of Boston, GA, Mary Francis Harris (Melzoir) Livonia Michigan, Sarah Stewart Albany, NY, Fannie Stewart Mitchell Chiefland, FL Brother James Stewart and Charles both from Boston, GA and Paul Stewart Gainesville, FL and Uncle Robert R. Williams (Mamie) Valdosta, GA, four sisters-in-law Connie Everett, Lorene Everett, Agnes Everett and Mary Dean Lilly all in Boston, GA, 2 brothers Melzoin Harris, Livonia, MI, Calvin Everett Boston, GA, A special Nephew Timothy Steaw, A special Cousin Willie Mae Presley, Special Caretaker Tammy Burrus and a host of nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her deeply.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at The Boston Cemetery in Boston, Georgia with Apostle Elizabeth Everett officiating. By family request, there was no live streaming.
