Gladys was born November 23, 1939 in Quitman, Georgia, to the late Elijah and Rose Ella Arnold.

She attended the Brooks County School System.

Ms. Gladys passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at home.

In addition to her parents, the late Elijah and Rose Ella Arnold, Gladys was preceded in death by: Edward Arnold, Sr., Jessie Lee Arnold, Eddie Mae Trueblood, Betty Walden, Linda Arnold, Elijah Frank Arnold, and her great grandson, Arthur Lee Arnold.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter, Martha Williams of Adel, Georgia, her granddaughter, La’Shinda Arnold of Albany, Georgia, her great grandchildren: Aqueria Randall, Benjamin Randall, Jr., Bryce Randall, Audree Arnold, Paige Arnold, and Eli Green, all of Albany, Georgia. Her brothers: Louis Arnold of Springhill, Florida, Tommy (Leola) of Madison, Florida, Major Arnold of Ocala, Florida, Robert Arnold of Coolidge, Georgia, and Lee James Arnold of Ocala, Florida. Her sisters: Dorothy Arnold of Adel, Georgia, Mary Arnold of Hahira, Georgia, Rosa Wyche of Boston, Georgia, Allene Davis (Charlie) of Pavo, Georgia, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sparks Cemetery in Sparks, Ga. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home. Livestream will be available.
