Hattie L. Reynolds, known affectionately by her nickname “Punch-O”, of Boston, Georgia passed away peacefully on October 03, 2025, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, in Atlanta, Georgia. Born January 28, 1955, in Thomas County, Hattie lived a life full of love, strength, wisdom, and humor. She brought warmth and laughter to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Hattie is leaving behind a lasting legacy as the female matriarch of the Ham family. She was preceded in death by her late parents, Bessie D. Cockrell and Joseph Reynolds, as well as several siblings.
Hattie graduated with her high school diploma from Central High School, Thomasville, Georgia.
She retired as a Correctional Officer for Jefferson Correctional Institute, Monticello, Florida.
Hattie enjoyed playing softball, traveling, cooking, hosting family and friends gatherings, and let’s not forget playing her lottery numbers. Throughout her life, Hattie exemplified strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the central figure and the foundation of the Ham family, guiding and inspiring her loved ones with warmth and wisdom.
Hattie is survived by her three children, Mekeshia Travis, Robert Travis, Jr., Khadeja Parrish (Malkom); her loving sisters Allison Cockrell (Tona), Claudine Murray (Roy), Gwendolyn Reynolds, Tasha Reynolds, and her loving brothers, Edward Cockrell (Loretta), Nathaniel Cockrell (Bobbie), Stepforme Cockrell (Daphne), Dwayne Reynolds, Napoleon Reynolds, Anthony Reynolds (Tina), Michael Reynolds, Frederick Reynolds (Natalie), Terrell Reynolds; grandchildren: Te’Keyah Travis, Nazyia Booker, Malkom Parrish, Jr., Mishonn Parrish, Mekhi Parrish; also a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at The Boston Cemetery in Boston, Georgia with Pastor Monleth Perkins, Sr. officiating.
