James Curtis Jackson was born on August 25, 1963 to Charlie Louis Jackson, Sr. and Johnnie Ruth Jackson in Dixie, Georgia (Brooks County). He attended Brooks County High School. He was a CDL Truck Driver, driving cement trucks for Williams Brother Company for 15 years. Then later became a carpenter remodeling houses.
James moved from Dixie to Atlanta, Georgia where he resided for over 45 years. He loved remodeling houses, telling jokes and making people laugh.
James leaves to cherish his memory his son, Corey Roberts (Atlanta, GA), step-daughter, Brittany Roberts (Atlanta, GA). His siblings, Ella Driggers (Vero Beach, FL) Bessie Mitchell (Boston, GA), Annie Vernell Gonzalez (Valdosta, GA), Bethena (Isaac) Smith (Atlanta, GA), Eddie Louis Mitchell (Quitman, GA), Dorothy Jean Jackson (Boston, GA), Elijah (Elaine) Jackson (Jacksonville, FL), Alfonso Jackson (Vero Beach, FL) Frank (Wanda) Jackson (Atlanta, GA). His favorite niece, Lawanda Nicole Jackson (Boston, GA). His favorite cousin, John (Peewee) Ham (Atlanta, GA). A special friend, Carolyn Roberts (Atlanta, GA). James also leaves three beautiful grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
