The Life & Legacy of

Jerry M. Fields, Sr.

The Lord called Jerry M. Fields, Sr. home on September 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, service, and cherished memories.

Jerry was born on February 24, 1952, in Dixie, Georgia, to the late George E. Fields, Sr. and Helen Robinson Fields. As a young boy, Jerry learned to fish and hunt—two passions that remained a meaningful part of his life. He also had a special love for horses.

Jerry proudly served his country as a United States Air Force veteran. After his time in the Air Force, he moved to Warner Robins, Georgia, where he met and married Patricia Williams. From that union came two children, Lil Jerry and Coco.

Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was also a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, finding joy in the family he helped build and the memories they shared.

For the last 20 years of his life, Jerry was blessed to have his special friend, Polly Whitfield, by his side. She was someone he loved dearly and who shared many years of his life with him.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his son, Jerry M. Fields, Jr. (Sonja); daughter, Eva Nichole Williams (Jaron); his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Polly Whitfield, his beloved special friend; his sisters, Sally Dwight (Wallace), Helen (Von) Fields, and Linda Sermons (Alvin); and a host of family, friends, and loved ones who will forever remember him.

He was preceded in death by his father, George E. Fields, Sr.; his mother, Helen Robinson Fields; two sisters, Sylvia Jean Dyson and Oce B. McIntyre; and one brother, George E. Fields, Jr. (Junebug).

Jerry’s love for family, his passion for hunting and fishing, his love of horses, and the memories he created with those around him will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The hunt is over, but his legacy lives on.

Services were held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Friendship A.M.E Church in Dixie, Ga. Burial was followed at the Robinson Cemetery. Please continue to keep the family in your prayers.
