Mr. Jerry L. Johnson, Sr., 60
Jerry Lee Johnson, Sr. “Koot”, was born July 17, 1960 in Nashville, Georgia to Mother Annie Pearl Newsome. Jerry joined the United States Army after graduating from high school. After his dedicated service to his country, he received an Honorable Discharge.
He was employed for 16 years at Food Lion in Elloree, South Carolina until he became ill. He transitioned from this life on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Pearl Newsome, three sisters and two brothers. Mr. Jerry Johnson was a loving, caring Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He was very funny, very helpful and a devoted, die hearted Dallas Cowboys Fan!
Mr. Jerry leaves to cherish his memories; his children: Jonathan (Courtney) Doston, Sumter SC, Aja (Casey) Carter, Sumter, SC, Jerry Johnson II (Jhaquenia), Sparks, GA, Kristy (Josh) Lynch, Nashville, GA, Felix Palmer, Nashville, GA, JaiAunna Johnson, Jacksonville, FL, Jace Johnson, Jacksonville, FL, Ira Birdine, Adel GA, Mia Guyton, Jacksonville, FL, Jon Guyton, Charlotte, NC; his siblings: Helen “Bump” Hill, Nashville, GA, Bennie “Blandie” McKever, Jacksonville, FL, Billy McKever, Nashville, GA, Sam McKever, Nashville, GA, Lawrence (Koretta) McKever, Nashville, GA, Pearl Mae (Sam) Thomas, Nashville, GA, John (Debra), Albany, GA, Robert (Zena), Valdosta, GA, Ingrid (Kwende) Dobosu, Toledo, OH and Erica (Gregory) Bronghton, Marathan, FL; his 37 grand kids; two special nephews Marquis Johnson, Douglas, GA and David Clark, Jr., Valdosta, GA; two special nieces Dana Hill and Stacy Hill, Nashville, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bro, It has been truly hard every year bro I can still see us in the CDI truck while your driving and me eating your sandwiches and going into your big candy bag and you telling me to eat my own food.
