John Lee Clemons was born in Quitman Georgia on July 11, 1964 to the late John Berry and Alberta Clemons. He was preceded in death by several relatives including two brothers Robert Clemons and James Clemons.
At an early age, John Lee went to live with the late John Wesley Hardrick, who he also looked up to as a father figure and who taught him many work ethics and life skills. John Lee worked for Adel Ice for 25+ years. He was a universal employee who had many job titles. He was a very hard worker and was dedicated to his job; always willing to help others when he could. John Lee grew a great bond with Buddy Dukes and Stephen Griffin over the years doing his employment.
Those who will forever cherish the love, life and legacy of John Lee Clemons include: his only child Zecori Clemons (Latrina) and his only grandson Zecori Clemons, Jr. of Valdosta, Georgia. John Lee had a loving relationship with Maxie Sinkler for 30 years and he grew a bond with her children Pagette Mays, Travis Joiner and Courtney Young and 14 grandchildren. John Lee also leaves behind his beloved 10 siblings: Mary Jordan, Rhonda Clemons of Greenville, Florida, Willie Charles Clemons, Barbara Wright (Shamon) of Quitman, Georgia, Sylvester Clemons of Stockbridge, Georgia, Wesley Hardrick, Jr. (Janera) of Conyers, Georgia, Beverly Motley of Atlanta, Georgia, John Berry, Bruce Berry, Sr., Greta Glenn all of Valdosta, Georgia. In addition, he also leaves behind his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 12PM-5PM.
A celebration of life will be Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the Evelyn McGhee Repast Center, 1105 South Washington Street, Quitman, GA 31643, at 2PM with Pastor Bruce Berry, officiating.
