Judith Ann Williams-Henderson was born on September 21,1956 in Barwick, Georgia to Callie Mae Williams -Jackson.
She peacefully ascended to be with her Lord and savior on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Judith (Judy) was the second child of 12 children. She was a very outgoing person, never meeting a stranger and being loved by many. Judy met and married her first love, the late Willie Henderson, Sr. To this union 2 children were born: a daughter Teresa and a son Willie Jr.
As a child she grew up in Barwick and Pavo. She attended Pavo Elementary School and Central High School in Thomasville, Georgia. Judy later moved to Quitman and lived there for the remainder of her life. Being a hard worker, she worked many jobs, namely Quitman Manufacturing Company, Citi Trends Department store and Brooks County Hospital. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family, most importantly her grandchildren and friends.
She was an active member of New Destiny Deliverance Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Dorothy Brown of Boston, Georgia where she was a faithful member until her health failed.
Judy is predeceased in death by her mother Callie Mae Williams -Jackson, husband Willie Henderson, Sr., grandmother Idella Golden, adopted parents Timothy James and Betty Lou Barber, brothers Jarvis Williams, David L. Williams and Semmie Jackson, Jr., sisters Annie Mae Williams, LaRhondaJackson and Anjanette Jackson, her adopted siblings: Rudell Wyche and Horace Barber, Sr., her nephews Myron Williams, Michael McMillians, Jr. and Devin Jackson.
Judy leaves to cherish her many beautiful memories with her children Teresa (Carlos) Lane and Willie Henderson, Jr. of Quitman, Georgia; 7 grandchildren, Carlos Lane, Jr. of Atlanta GA, Marissia and Davonte Lane of Valdosta, GA and Miracle, Benjamin and Melanie Lane of Quitman, GA, also Willie Henderson III of Rochester, NY; gre1at grandson Jaylon Lane of Atlanta, GA and 1 great granddaughter Ja’Nylah Henderson of Rochester, NY; 5 siblings Sharron(Trevor) Johnson of Rochester, NY, Della(Rodney) Jones of Scottsville, NY, Michael (Maryla) McMillian of Ocala, FL, Bobby (Melinda) Williams of Atlanta, GA and Todd Jackson of VA Beach; adopted brothers Amos (Polly) Lee of Barwick, GA, Jimmy (Vivian) McCloud of Thomasville, GA and sister-in-law Mattie M. Barber Pavo, GA and a host of sorrowing cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A very special friend Ms. Sally Dawson and her Godmother Ms. Coristen Denson.
Visitation will be Friday at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 2PM-7PM.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11A.M. at the Barwick Cemetery in Barwick, Georgia. By family request, no livestream will be available.
