Obituary For Lana Smith Carithers

Mrs. Lana Carlette Smith-Carithers was born September 3, 1972 at Moody Air Force in Valdosta, Georgia to Evangelist Larry D. Smith and Helen D. Wrice Smith. She attended Valdosta High School, where she graduated in the class of 1992. She departed from her earthly home on December 25, 2025.

Lana was a woman that was beautiful and had heart of gold. She always stood on business with her life and love for others. You'll never find someone like her that would sacrifice her love of cooking and interior decorating. She was a great person to all that encountered her.

This is an Awesome Mother; Grandmother, Daughter, Aunt, Wife, and Sister that will truly be missed by many:

Lana was proceeded is death by her daughter Ashley; Mother Helen D. Smith, Maternal Grandparents Dolphus and Vera Mae Wrice, Paternal Grandparents George and Annie Kate Smith and Brother Larron A. Smith.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her Husband, Jeffery D. Carithers, Children, Jalen R. Smith, Lyniah D. Watson (Ricky), Grandchildren, Ashlei and Azaiah, Bonus Son, Donnie Watson, Jr, Father; Evangelist Larry D. Smith, Brother; Sedrick Smith (Vicki), Pather and Mother-in-law, Willie and Barbara Booker, Nieces, Tequira McGhee, Imari Smith Wade (Nelson), Iman Hayes, Nephew Taki/ Smith, God Sisters Nikita Montgomery Wynn, Rasheda Steward, Kimberly Warner, and Irene Brown, Sister-in-Law, Monica Smith and a Loving host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and Friends.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at 3PM at Crossing Jordan Church with Evangelist Larry D. Smith, Officiating. Burial was followed in Pallbearer Cemetery.
