Larry Donnell Bryant, born May 7, 1954, peacefully departed this life on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born to the late Earnestine Yearby and Ellis Thompson, Larry was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a faithful Christian whose warm spirit and big, humorous personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. A man of few complaints and abundant gratitude, his favorite response when asked how he was doing was always, “Can’t grumble… Thank God for life.” He was a devoted member of Path Church of Restoration and Deliverance.
Those who knew Larry will remember his sharp wit, his genuine care for others, and his deep faith. He brought joy and laughter into every room, and his presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
Larry is survived by a large and loving family who will forever cherish his memory including his siblings: Patricia Bryant of Morven, GA; Diane Humphrey (Dudley) of Odenton, MD; Denise Yearby of Glen Burnie, MD; Joe Nathan Yearby, Jr. of Barney, GA; Derrick Yearby (Sandra) of Barney, GA; Darren Yearby (Phyllis) of Barney, GA; Vernon A. Putman of Unadilla, GA; Cynthia D. Covington of Miami, FL; Jeanette M. Wilkerson of Vero Beach, FL; Judie E. Spates of Orlando, FL; and Marcus L. Thompson (Jacqueline) of Green Cove Springs, FL. Larry was preceded in death by two siblings, Gary W. Thompson and Natovia C. Wilson.
He is also survived by his beloved nephew Shannon Yearby of Glen Burnie, MD, who he affectionately referred to as “Bodyguard” and regarded as a son, as well as his special friend, Gail Gaskins, who held a dear place in his heart and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
