Linda Kay Thomas “Sugar Pie” was born on June 15, 1952, in Valdosta, Georgia, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Edna Vinson.
Linda Kay Thomas “Sugar Pie” received her education in the Brooks County School system.
She married the love of her life, Mr. Terrell Thomas on June 15, 1974. Their union was blessed with five children: Gregory Thomas, who preceded her in death, Terry Vinson Thomas, Terrell “Chunky” Thomas, Jr. who died at birth in the year of 1976, Torrey Thomas, Torrance (Mae Thomas); including her bonus children, Cedrick, Latonya, LaToya, and Toby.
Linda Kay Thomas “Sugar Pie” leaves to cherish her loving memories; her husband, Mr. Terrell Thomas; her children, Terry Vinson Thomas, Torrey Thomas, and Torrance (Mae Thomas); bonus children, Cedrick, Latonya, Latoya, and Toby; grandchildren, Torrance Thomas, Jr., Brittany Thomas, Chantel Thomas, Rodney Thomas, Gregory Thomas, Jr.; her sister Kate; three sisters preceded her in death, Margie Barrows, Betty Griffin and Gloria Vinson; sisters-in-law, Betty Bartee, Mattie Thomas, and one sister-in-law preceded her in death, Bobbie Thomas Jones; special nieces and nephews, Tina (Melvin), Terrance (Mary), Demetrius (Shawn), Melanie, Jamel, Shawn, Carol, Tim, James, Marcus, Jamie, Nikki, Troy (Anna), Wilbert, Laverne, Diane, Wilma (Jerry), Kendell (Quisha), Wendell, Kim, and Chelsia; a special nurse, Ty Yarborough and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, any other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 1PM-7PM.
Celebration of life will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3PM at Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
