Obituary For Louvenia Bryant Henry

Louvenia Bryant Henry was born on October 5, 1932, in Brooks County, Georgia, to the late Minnie Lee and Lorenzo Bryant, Sr. She loved people deeply and genuinely. She greeted everyone she met with kindness and a smile that could brighten any room. She never met a stranger, and her laughter was full, joyful, and contagious, and made every gathering feel lighter. If Louvenia was present, you felt it. She was either lending a helping hand, lifting someone’s spirits, or quietly supporting those in need with grace and humility.

Louvenia received her education in the Brooks County School System. She later married Frank Henry, Sr., and together they made Brooks County their lifelong home. At an early age, Louvenia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, placing her full trust in Him as the source of her salvation. Louvenia was a dedicated member of 2nd Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, offering her service faithfully as a member of the Choir and as a leader in the Church Dining Room, roles she fulfilled with commitment until her health declined.

Her pure heart of love and dedication will live on in the family she adored, supported and cherished. She leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted Children, Janie Miles (John) of Atlanta, GA, Frank Henry Jr. of Savannah, GA, and James Henry of Charlotte, NC.

Louvenia, affectionately known as “Sister” to her siblings will be missed by her Four Adoring Sisters: Bernice Gosier, of Omaha NE, Jettie R. Bryant of St. Petersburg, FL, Eloise Smith (Daniel) of Brooks County, Ga and Pauline Neloms (Morris) of Decatur, GA. She was Preceded in Death by her devoted Sister Lorene Dixson. Three Devoted Brothers: Lorenzo Bryant Sr. (Minnie) of Savannah GA, Calvin Bryant (Faye) of Sarasota, Fl, and Charlie Bryant (Ola) of St. Petersburg FL. She was preceded in death by her brother Willie Bryant. Her legacy continues through her Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Louvenia Bryant Henry lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and deep faith. Her smile, her generosity, and her love for others leave a legacy that will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.

Home going services will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11AM at Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. J.F. Pinkney, officiating. Burial will follow in Ham City Cemetery. Visit this website to view a livestream of the service.
