Mrs. Lula Mae Sheppard, entered eternal rest April 30, 2025 in Tallahassee, FL.
Lula Mae Sheppard was born on April 8, 1942 to the late Jimmy and Elizabeth Belle. She graduated from Magnolia High School in 1960, Home of the Buccaneers. She was a long time member and mother of New Hope MB Church, Boston, GA. She worked throughout the community whether it was working in the field cutting greens or being a caretaker
for various members of the Ozell Community.
In 1971 she married James Sheppard
to this union 3 children were born.
Lula Mae loved fishing, watching her
favorite soap operas, and Monday
and Friday night WWE wrestling. Her
truly favorite thing of all times were
her daily moments talking with her
sister Deanie. They never missed a day without one or the other calling to
chat and just to say hello and how are you doing.
Lula Mae is proceeded in death by her husband James Sheppard, one son Billy Belle, 2 sisters and 2 brothers,
Geneva Boldes, Jimmy Belle Jr; Morris Belle, Marian Dukes.
Lula Mae was a loving Mother; Sister; Aunt and Friend to all she came in contact with her beautiful smile could brighten the darkest room and her love throughout her life was a shining example of Corinthians 13:13.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories son Bradford (April) Sheppard, Dupont, WA daughter Brena Sheppard (Vernon), Boston, GA sister Carolyn (Thomas) Lovett, 12
grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren, 1 Great-Great
Grandchild. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and
friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 3PM-7PM.
Celebration of life will be Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 2PM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Boston, GA. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah MB Church Cemetery. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration.
