Raiford Jerome Yearby III was born May 3, 1960 and his sunset came on March 23, 2025 at Pruitt Health-Lakehaven Nursing Home in Valdosta, Georgia.

Born to the late Raiford Yearby II and Willie Pearl Yearby, he attended Brooks County High School. He served briefly in the National Army Reserves. His last employment was at Triple H Mobile Home, Valdosta, Georgia. He considered them as his family. He was reared in a Christian home by his grandmother (GumMa) the late Carrie Bell Hightower.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents
Raiford and Noni Yearby Jr.,
Willie James and Carrie Bell Hightower,
loving brother Willie James Yearby, Sr., and a sister Tasha Yearby.

He loved gospel music especially the Mighty Clouds of Joy and the Canton Spirituals.

He was married to the late Dorothy Jean Clark “the love of his life.” He leaves to cherish, his son
Travis Yearby; a loving aunt Vera Newsome (the late Thomas); siblings Shirley Newsome (Charles),
Elizabeth “Diane” Dobson, Faye Yearby, Veronica Lisa Yearby, Taretha Arnold; a loving niece Ashley Daniel (Romeko Sr.). He has a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Pavo, Georgia with Pastor Darren Yearby officiating.
