Obituary Ranie Scruggs Brown was born August 27, 1949 in Brooks County (Quitman, GA), where she attended school and graduated. She attended Oakwood College for a short period of time and she started working as a carporte. She later married the late Moses Moore. From this union, there were three sons born. Ranie worked in the Brooks County School system until she retired. She joined the Dixie Seventh-Day Adventist Church at an early age and was a faithful member. Her favorite scripture was Acts 17:28 “For in him we live, and move, and have our being….”. Ranie's passion was singing and cooking. She loved praising the Lord. Ranie was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Moore and her son, Cedrick Moore. Ranie departed her earthly life on October 27, 2022. She leaves to cherish her two sons, David and Chris; one stepdaughter, Felicia Moore Ingram of Miami, FL; one stepson, Rondall Moore of Moultrie, GA; three sisters, Hazel Jackson of Atlanta, GA, Katie Moore, and Bernice Scruggs both of Quitman, GA; three brothers, James Scruggs (Lillie) of Sarasota, FL, Virgil Scruggs (Daisy) of Clewston, FL, Chester Scruggs of Atlanta, GA; a loving devoted niece, Beverly Scruggs of Sarasota, FL; a goddaughter, Marilyn Jones of Thomasville, GA; close friends, Margie Guyton, Nancy Brown of Quitman, GA, Maxine McKenzie, and Mary Floyd of Lakeland, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 11:00A.M. at the Dixie Seven Day Adventist Church in Quitman, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery in Dixie, Georgia.
