Richard Luke was born on May 13, 1947 to the late Mrs. Joseph May Luke and Mr. Richard Kelly of Waynesboro, GA.

Later in his life, he met the loving Mrs. Hazel Johnson Luke of Quitman, GA, whom he shared 23 years of love and joy, until the Lord called him home.

Mr. Luke worked for Coastal Plains of Quitman, GA for 13 years until his health begin to fail.

Mr. Luke was taken was from us on February 6, 2023 at the Presbyterian Home of Quitman.

Mr. Luke leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 23 years. Mrs. Hazel Luke of Quitman GA; A loving and devoted daughter, Richard Dean of Waynesboro, GA; a devoted step-son, Kenneth Penny (Eloise) of Lake Park, GA; Two sisters, Jonnie Mae Wright of Port St. Lucie and Annie Luke of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He also leaves a host of family, friends and devoted loved ones.

Visitation will be Friday at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 1PM-7PM.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1PM on the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Lawn with Rev. McCloud, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home website to view a livestream of the celebration.
