The Obituary

Sherrod Latavian Leonard Sr. was the son of Tammy Burrus and Cleve Thomas. Sherrod gave his life to Christ at Day Spring Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia. Sherrod attended the Brooks County School System and later transferred to the Valdosta School System. While in school, Sherrod played basketball. Sherrod later received his GED from Middle Georgia Technical College in 2012. Sherrod enjoyed gathering with family and friends and he was the life of the party. Sherrod was a wonderful person and was loved by many. He will truly be missed. Sherrod was preceded in death by his two grandmothers, Ona Bell and Annie Brown; grandfather, John Leonard; brother, Tomaris Young; and his mother-in-law, Yvette Seay.

Sherrod leaves to mourn; his wife, Roshonda; his four kids, Amariyanna, Sherrod Jr., Latavia and Samajh; his mother, Tammy (Marcus); his father, Cleve; his four loving sisters, Khadija (Leon Sr.), Keyattia, Shamantha, and Alika; his brother, Tyone; his grandmother, Peggy Thomas; 14 additional paternal brothers and sisters, including Carl, Poppa, Pike and other Thomas siblings; his aunts, Arlene, Stacey, and Kim; his uncle, Wesley; two nephews, Camari and Leon Jr.; four special cousins, Brandon, Travis, Demario, and Tanisha; one God-sister, Versa Brown; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
