Obituary For Sidney L. Harris

Mr. Sidney L. Harris was born on May 26, 1966, to Eddie and Julia Harris. He attended schools in the Brooks County School system. Mr. Harris departed this life on March 31, 2025.

Mr. Sidney Harris was a member of Shumate Street Church of Christ. One of the greatest joys of Sidney's life was spending time with his family and providing many laughs and an abundance of great joy.

His sister, Julia Harris, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Melissa Tucker of Valdosta, Georgia, Mrs. Dorothy Denson and Mrs. Carolyn Dixon of Quitman, Georgia and Mrs. Eddie Mae Davis of Valdosta, Georgia and his brother, Mr. George Brooks of Valdosta, Georgia; eleven nieces; six nephews, along with a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to remember him.

Mr. Harris will forever be remembered for the love he had for his entire family.

Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4P.M. - 7P.M at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 3P.M. at Shumate Church of Christ in Quitman, GA. Burial will follow in North End Cemetery. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration.
