Obituary For Tamesha LaShon Bartee

Ms. Tamesha LaShon Bartee was born on October 7, 1994 in Valdosta, Georgia, to Carla Bartee and Michael Harrell. Tamesha affectionately known as “Mesha” or “Mesha The Slayer” left the world suddenly on March 9, 2026 at age 31. She attended both the Brooks and Valdosta School Systems, but obtained her diploma from Joyful Sound Ministries. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dave Bartee Sr., her uncle, Dave Bartee Jr., and aunt, Joyce Sirmans.

She will be remembered by all of the hairstyles she slayed, her unique creativity, and her cheerful loving spirit. Although they’ll mourn, her memories will live on through her mother, Carla Bartee; her father, Michael Harrell and Frank Huntley, who was also like a father to her. Her memories will also live on through her loving grandmother, Betty Bartee; her three children: Jah’Viyon Bartee, Willie Harris, Jr. and Elyh Head; her bonus children: Arianna Harris, Ta’Liaa Head, and Jere’Miah Head; her special aunts: Adrian Bartee and Barbara Purnell; her brothers: Demetrius Bartee, Demarcus Bartee, Demarques Bartee, Michael Troupe, Johnjarvis Allen, Eric Noltion and Jamare Noltion; her sisters: Kanisha Spates, Caprise Noltion, Tierra Flanders, Ny-Terica Bartee and Shandrick Harrell; two special cousins: Taneika Sirmans and Crystal Bryant; four special friends: Nakejah Dawson, Sandra Whitlock, Teaonna Carter and Tora Lot and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Home going services will be Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11AM at Bethel AME Church with Pastor Renee G. Theophille, officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Morven, GA. Visit this website to view a livestream of the celebration.
