Obituary
Tammy Denise Dasher Wright, also known as “Meme,” departed her life on January 5, 2022, at her home. She was born on August 28, 1970, to the late Betty L. Cason and Reverend Carl Dasher, Jr.
She attended Simmon Hill Elementary in Dixie, GA, and graduated from Brooks County High School. She was an active member at New Jersey Missionary Baptist Church in Pidcock. She sang in the choir alongside her mother, the late Betty Cason.
She was employed by Archbold Memorial Hospital Food Services in Thomasville, GA, for 19 years. She was a supervisor that was willing to learn new things and had a positive attitude. She was compassionate, a team player, a hard-worker, and she treated others as she would like to be treated.
There will never be another one to replace her. Tammy had a bright and energetic personality, and she was known for her contagious and genuine smile. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. Her heart was full of love to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Ms. Betty Cason; one son, Damien Dasher; and one brother, Donnie Dasher.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and faithful daughter, Karmecia Dasher; three grandchildren, Zariah Dasher, Kaylee, and Logan Arnold; her father, Reverend Carl Dasher, Jr.; four brothers, Carl Dennis (Joyce) Dasher, Neal Dasher, Earl (Ella) Dasher, and James Dasher; sisters, Angela (Johnnie) Smith, Shirley (Andre) Miles, Jackie (Wiley) Still, Tracey (Rick) Pickett, Kathy (Darryl) Booker, and Stephanie Dasher; four special godchildren, Tyesha Pickett, Ja’Mirya Still, Serenity Williams, and Taylin Burrus; special/devoted/ride-or-die friend, Jackie Curry; and a host of special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and friends.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11AM at the Quitman Church of God with Rev. Calvin Williams, eulogist. Burial will follow in Simmon Hill M.B. Church.
