Terrance Auguste “Te Te” was born on June 24, 1950 in Castries, St. Lucia to the late Victor Emmanuel Stanley Auguste and Lara Jeffrey Auguste. Though he was born in Castries, St. Lucia, Terrance grew up in Brooklyn, New York. All of his schooling was completed in New York up until the time he graduated high school. Shortly, after finishing up school, he moved to Miami, Florida where he met his wife, Carlean Jackson Auguste. Terrance was an artist. He was a construction worker, a father, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and someone that was loved very dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlean Auguste. Mr. Auguste leaves to cherish his memories his siblings, Whelan Auguste; Alan Auguste; Janice Auguste; Truda Auguste; David Auguste (deceased); Patricia Honore; Olive Auguste; Kathrine Auguste; Theresa Sessoms-Auguste (deceased); and Victor Auguste. He leaves his daughters, Zalek K. Washington of Brooklyn, NY and Kiya M. Auguste of Barwick, GA. He leaves his sons-in-law; Nate Simpson and Calia Mango; four loving grandchildren, Nafisah Washington, Natayzha Simpson, Keiran Mango, and Ka'Reem Auguste. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of siblings, many nieces and nephews, and a lot of dear friends.
Funeral services were Friday, December 29, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at the Boston Cemetery in Boston, Georgia with Rev. Charlie Dunbar officiating. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I own 4 of his original signed paintings from 1976.. I met him when I lived in Brooklyn New York.
