Mr. Ulysses Williams, 74
Mr. Ulysses Williams was born on October 30, 1946 to the late Frank Williams and Beatrice Jackson Williams in Barney, Georgia. He departed this life on November 16, 2020 at Tampa General Hospital.
Ulysses graduated from Brooks County High School. He was a retired truck driver for Winn Dixie. He was a member of New Bethel A.M.E, Lakeland, Florida. He enjoyed traveling, watching football, meeting up with his friends for breakfast before failing health, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Williams.
He leaves to cherish three children, Mary Teresa Gary (Johnny), Adel, GA, Vince Williams (Lisa), Boynton Beach, FL, and Marro Williams, Branden, FL; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Williams (Delorse), Miami, FL; aunts, Violet Wynn and Martha Jones, Quitman, GA; uncle, Mathis Jackson, Quitman, GA and a host of relatives and friends.
Private services were Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Barney, Georgia with Pastor Pernell Adams officiating. Services can be accessed via video stream at stevensmcgheefuneralhome.com Condolences may be shared here as well. Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
My Brother you are truly missed! We always had deep discussions on varies topics. Some were very comical at times! Trusting the Master is a lifetime. This is no different. My Condolences to his Family and Friends! Next time we meet. We will all be in a better setting! To be in the arms of Jesus Christ. Is all the Heaven we need! Never can say Goodbye. But farewell for now!
