Obituary For Wilbert Timms, Jr.

Mr. Wilbert Lewis Timms Jr. peacefully transitioned to eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 5, 2025, at the age of 55. He was born on August 27, 1969, to the late Wilbert Timms Sr. and Ellen Joyce Leaks in Thomas County, GA. He attended the Thomas County School System and was a member of Friendship A.M.E Church in Dixie, GA.

Wilbert met his wife, Reena Timms, in 1991, and they later got married on August 14, 2009. Over the years, he became a jack-of-all-trades, including, but not limited to, car care specialist, mechanic, farming, landscaping, and all types of property service.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Billy, and his sister Priscilla.

He is survived by his loving wife, Reena Timms; five children: Brittney Timms, La’Teisha Stephens, Meazhia Wilson, La’Keisha Crumbry (Christopher), and Marven Chappell II; brothers Robert Timms (Diane) and Ervin Robinson (Kim); sister Gloria Chatman; mother-in-law Mabel Robinson; uncle Joshua Timms (Shirley); aunt Lillie Davis; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. We may not all be blood kin, but we are all one big happy family.

Visitation will be Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 5PM-7PM.

Celebration of life will be Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Old Beulah Hill Cemetery at 11AM with Rev. Marshall Ingram, officiating. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration.
