Mr. Willie Lee Scott was born November 11, 1946 to the late Semmie Lee Scott and Jeneva Robinson Manuel in Ocala, Florida. He was raised by a loving mother, the late Mrs. Alberta Scruggs. On September 8, 2022, he went home to be with the Lord.
He attended school in Brooks County, Georgia and graduated from Brooks County High School, class of 1964. In 1966, Mr. Willie Lee Scott enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for several years.
Mr. Willie Lee Scott was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Harold and Wendell. He is survived by four children Sonja Scott, Boston, GA, Brenda Gail Scott, Lake Wales, FL, Brian Scott, Boston, GA and Jontae Rashe Scott, Thomasville, GA; five grandchildren Whitney GiAna Scott, Tallahassee, FL, Errick Michael Scott, Boston, GA, Brianna Marissa Ward, Lake Wales, FL, Andrea Tracy Ward, Lake Wales, FL and Jye’mir Rashe Scott, Pelham, GA; four great grandchildren Aubrey Sy’mone Taylor, Lake Wales, FL, Gabrielle Elise Taylor, Lake Wales, FL, Aston Elijah Reese, Tallahassee, FL and Kentrell Rashard Wright, Lake Wales, FL; one sister Lila Belle, Quitman, GA; one brother Terry Manuel, Jamaica Queens, NY; a very special cousin/brother Kenneth Stacey, North Carolina. Mr. Willie Lee Scott is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 1PM-7PM.
