Willie Mae Jackson Bryant was born on June 21, 1926 to parents Will and Seretha Jackson. At an early age she and her sisters lost their mother and went to live with their grandparents John and Emma Washington and their family. Willie Mae was baptized at an early age at Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death. Willie Mae married the late M.H. Bryant in May 1952.
Willie Mae leaves to cherish her memory six daughters; Virginia Sneed Hendersonville, TN, Frances Brooks (John) Atlanta, GA, Evelyn Bryant Dixie, GA, Willie Mae Ponder (Luther) Phenix City, AL, Gloria Bryant Thomasville, GA and Vivian Bryant Macon, GA; one son Richard Bryant (Rose) Chicago, IL; a special daughter-in-law Irene Cason Pavo, GA; a loving and devoted sister Johnnie Mae Marable Dixie, GA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Also, including a special Goddaughter Shirley Greene, adopted family and staff of Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home. Partner in crime Charlyn Hadley and last but not least a person who would always light her smile Henry Pete Pleasant.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by two sons Jerry Alfred Jackson and Thomas Cason; one daughter Myra Bryant; two grandsons Kirk Bryant and Todd Samuel; one sister Mabel Spencer.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1PM at Scott Memorial Gardens in Dixie, GA. Continue to keep the family in your daily thoughts and prayers.
