Mary Montgomery

Mary Montgomery was a special person to the students and staff of South Middle School. As a former principal of South Middle School I visited Mary and Jennifer Hardin's class often and it was a truly a special place to be. She made a big difference to help students be successful. Rick Porter

Prayers and love for the Mary's family. I worked with her for over 10 years at South. I loved visiting her class while they were making cookies or cupcakes with Mary and Jennifer leading them! Ms. Montgomery thank you for caring and loving your students. I was a member of your step team in 7th and 8th grade. You were like a second mother to us all. You made such an impact on my life that when I grew and begin working for the Boys and Girls Club I started my own step team of 6th graders within the organization. Mary had a spirit of kindness and grace. She had a smile and laugh that lit up the room. My best memories of South Middle School are talking with Mary almost every day. Rest In Peace Sweet Lady!

I remember when I was substituting at the school. She would have a kind word of encouragement towards me about how I handled some of the students. Miss those days
