Obituary For Ms. Elizabeth Thompson

Ms. Elizabeth Thompson, 76, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was the daughter of the late Lucinda Addison Thompson Cornelius. She was born March 12, 1942 in Liberty Hill, SC.

Elizabeth, affectionately known to her family and friends as "Liz" accepted Christ at an early age and joined Beaver Creek Baptist Church.

Liz received her education at the schools in Liberty Hill, SC. She was the founder of the Liberty Hill School Reunion and was serving as the vice president.

Liz is survived by two sons, Larry Thompson of Boston, Mass. and Maurice (Marie) Thompson of Heath Springs, SC; five daughters, Mary (James) Blackmon and Lenora Thompson of Heath Springs, SC, Viola Thompson and Emma (Daryl) Jones of Lancaster, SC and Joyce Carter of the home; four stepsisters, Margaret McDow, Mary (Zan) McGriff and Carrie Thompson all of Lancaster, SC and Savillha Sistrunk of Charlotte, NC; one stepbrother, Wilkie McDow of Charlotte, NC; one aunt, Geneva Horton of Maryland; three sisters-in-law, Rachael Addison of Charlotte, NC, Ida Thompson and Florence Carley of Delvan, WI ; sixteen grandchildren, Justine, Jason, Red, Brandon, Zamya, Patrick, Whitney, Ny-Ke, Kyndra, Shareef, Mariah, Maurion, Maleigha, Sky, Sydney and Summer; seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Stewart Funeral Home by the Reverend Jerusha Gaither and Reverend Benjamin Mingo.
