Obituary For Rebecca Witherspoon Williams

Rebecca, 83, affectionately known as “Bec” departed this life on Thursday, July 14, 2022. She was born on June 19, 1939, in Lancaster County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Mozell Witherspoon and the late Robert Dixon, Sr. She was married to the late Frank Williams, Sr.

Rebecca was a member of White Oak AME Zion Church.

Rebecca was educated in Lancaster County School District. She was a1958 graduate of Barr Street High School.

Those left to cherish her memories are four daughters, Lillian “Deedee” Strother, Cora Williams, Ethel Williams, Debra Barnette (Walter Sr.); one son, Frank Williams Jr. (Angela) all of Lancaster, SC; two sisters, Thelma Witherspoon of Lancaster, SC and Diane Dixon of Lancaster, SC; three brothers, Robert Dixon Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, Joseph Hood of Norfolk, VA and Herbert Witherspoon (Phyllis) of Hamilton, Ohio

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at White Oak AME Zion Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Vincent Meekins, Jr. and Reverend Dennis McCleave will conduct services.

A viewing will be 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022, at the funeral home.
