Theodore Roosevelt “Junebug” Tate, 69, entered eternal rest Friday, February 17, 2023 in Lancaster, SC. He was born on March 30, 1953, in Lancaster County. He was the son of Reverend Fannie Anthony Tate and the late Theodore Tate.
Theodore was married to Regina Rutledge Tate.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Regina Tate of Lancaster, SC; six children, Nathedious Mills of Heath Springs, SC, Tajuan Price (Tinisha Price) of Jonesboro, Georgia, Dieon Tate of Lancaster, SC, Jada Tate of Lancaster, SC, Antoin Rutledge (LaQuantra) of Columbia, SC and Ladia Rutledge of Greensboro, NC; his mother, Reverend Fannie Tate of Heath Springs, SC; one brother, Eugene Addison of Salisbury, NC; one sister, Ella Tate of Heath Springs, SC; seven aunts, Eloise T. Perry of Virginia Beach, VA, Hattie T. Grant of Heath Springs, SC, Cheryl T. Wade of Charlotte, NC, Angela T. Jones (Bruce) of Lancaster, SC, Reverend Amanda Tate of Lancaster, SC, Isabelle D. Watts of Fort Mill, SC and Viola Anthony of Washington, DC; three uncles, Carl F. Tate of Passaic, NJ, Willie J. Tate of Charlotte, NC and Jerry Patterson of Lancaster, SC; one great uncle, Olden Tate (Catherine) of Lancaster, SC and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the funeral home.
Viewing will be 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023.
