Alfred McDowell Sr. was born in Manning South Carolina to the parents of Robert and Hermina McDowell. He was raised in Fort Pierce Florida and attended St. Paul AME church at a young age. He Graduated from Fort Pierce Westwood High School in 1981, afterwards he waited and worked until he could marry his high school sweetheart and love his life, Lisa Ann McDowell on August 26, 1983. From their union they have four children. Laquanna McDowell, Lakisha McDowell, Krystal Hanson and Alfred McDowell, Jr.
For 26 years of his life, Alfred worked as a chef at Picadilly’s and 10 years as a Meat Cutter at Publix. On March 18, 2019 at 12:38pm Alfred closed his eyes at The Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL. Alfred took pride in taking care of his family and making those around him smile.
His family and friends meant the world to him. He was always a wonderful and caring person, husband, father, son, brother and friend.
Alfred will always remain in the hearts of his wife Lisa Ann McDowell, his daughters Laquanna McDowell, Lakisha McDowell, Krystal Hanson, and his only son, Alfred McDowell, Jr.His parents, Robert and Hermina McDowell, His Mother in Law, Reatha Mae Smith, his jewels, Trinity, Cameron and Aria Hanson, adopted son and nephew, Jonterius Osbourne, godson Roscoe Minnis, Jr., nieces, nephews cousins, in laws, adopted son and daughters and a host of many other family and friends.
Public visitation for Alfred McDowell will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Sunday, March 31, 2019 beginning at 12:00pm at the Virginia avenue Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Fort Pierce, FL. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park in Fort Pierce, FL.
