Bessie Lee Mincey was born on June 14, 1953 to the late Luvirda Mincey and Otha Lee Mincey in Dublin, GA. She attended the local schools in here area and graduated with her high school diploma from Lakeshore High School in 1971. Being a public servant and a mother of all is what she was called to do. She worked as a renown seamstress and a homemaker in her community. Most of her hobbies included dancing, reading, fishing, word puzzles, writing, companion care, cooking, and conducting daily spelling quizzes. Because of her tenacity in completing cross-word puzzles, she was a winner in many competitions.
On April 28, 2022, the life’s work of Bessie Lee Mincey was complete and she peacefully departed this life to receive her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents Luvirda Mincey and Otha Lee Mincey; brother, William Mincey.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Donald Ray Keith, Sr.; children, Victoria Goubourne, Virgin Mincey, Sr., Breo Mincey, Sr.(Mary), Ladonna Dixon(Harold), Dorothy Mitchell(Tommy) Demorris Keith (Kathy), Donald Keith, Jr.(Juana), Andrea Keith, Dexter Keith, Katre Nicholson, Mary Smith, Tamika Plain, Sandra James, Octavious Williams, Shirley Brown; 43 grandchildren including Obel Burch, Jr., Kanisha Mincey, Osbournequa Goubourne, Detrayveon Fredrick, Steve L. Presley, Breshanti Mincey; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Martha Ann Mincey, Doris Fields, Lizzie Bess Mincey, Clara Bell Mincey, judy Pearl Siler(Walter),Bobbieniel Mincey Peterson(Albert), Mary Barnes, Jerome Barnes, Sr., Sabrina Barnes Parker(Bernard Sr.), Tim Mincey; best friends, Jean Keith, Barbara Scott(Frank), Shawanna Barron, Debra Sullivan, Kenethia Mobley; and a host of other family members and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
Public visitation for Bessie Lee Mincey will take place on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
