Daisy Mae Clark was born on December 8, 1947 to the late Johnnie L. and Mary E. Daily in Aberdeen, Maryland. She departed this life on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Rockledge Regional Medical Center in Rockledge, FL surrounded by her daughter, Mavis Williams, niece, Lesley Singleton, and grandchildren, Kyonta Stansbury and Trey Tennison. Daisy received her basic education in the Harford County Public School system. She later received her certificate in child care.
Daisy later relocated to Vero Beach, FL in 1970. She was employed by various jobs, such as, Bata Shoe Company, Howard Johnson, John’s Island, and Oxford Academy.
Daisy was a kind and fun individual who always had something to say even when you didn’t want to hear it. Her favorite things to do was to be around her family. Daisy loved to cook and believe me, she could throw down on a meal. She had a special love for her grandchildren. Daisy had a wonderful sense of humor. She knew how to make you laugh even when you didn’t want to. Daisy also loved to go shopping. She also had a special gift. She knew how to draw and color very well. She was very creative. She enjoyed it a lot. It brought a smile to her face every time.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alfrida(Meta)Stansbury; brothers, Levi Edwards, Frank Daily, and John Daily; sisters, Mary Solomon and Shirley Aird; niece, Michelle Jones; cousin, Deborah Weathers.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, George E. Stansbury, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Sylvia Stansbury, Saundra Stansbury, and Mavis(Arvesta)Williams of Vero Beach, FL; 18 Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild; bonus daughter, Beatrice Anderson; godchildren, India McGriff and Feleah Daily; brother, Robert Daily of Havre DeGrace, MD; sisters, Alfrida(Pete)Coleman of Havre DeGrace, MD, Margaret(John)Hibbert of Vero Beach, FL, long time friend, Carlton Bucknor of Vero Beach, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and sorrowing friends will miss her dearly.
Public viewing for Daisy Mae Clark will take place on Friday, May 14, 2021 between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach, FL. Funeral services to commerorate her life will convene on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Liberty, Truth, & Deliverance Tabernacle of God in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Crestlawn Cemetery.
