Dannie Brackins of Vero Beach Florida passed away on February 26, 2019 at the VNA Hospice House. Dannie Brackins was born in Alma Georgia to the late Clytee Wilson on June 18, 1949. He attended Bacon County High School in Alma Georgia. He graduated in June of 1967. He went on to earn an associate degree in Sociology from Savannah State University. He worked as a foreman for Proctor Construction Company for 28 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to church and watching all types of sports.
Dannie was a lively man who was full of life. He loved the Lord and expressed it everywhere he went. He was an active member of Salt of the Earth Ministry where he served as a Deacon. His favorite quote was “Love is no good unless you’re giving it away”.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Clytee Wilson, sister: Dorothy Jean Brown and brother, Leslie Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his Wife: May Helen Brackins, children: Hassan (Parissa) Brackins., Chante Footman and Sultrandra (Ira) Mosley all of Vero Beach, Florida, Erika Trice of Newark New Jersery; Heather Brackins of Baltimore, Maryland; and Octavia (Robert) Jackson of Atlanta Georgia, brothers: Herman Mosby, Lester Brown, Fredrick Wilson and Travis Wilson all of Alma Georgia, a host of grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and caring friends.
Public visitation for Mr. Dannie Brackins will take place on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL. Burial will follow in Gifford Cemetery.
