Obituary For Deaconess Anna Brown Williams

Anna Mae Taylor Brown Williams was born on June 6, 1940 in Attapulgus, Georgia to Willie and Essie M. Taylor. By 1952, she and her family moved to Fort Pierce, FL.

Anna attended Lincoln Park Academy for her education. She met and married Jimmie Brown Sr., in 1956, at the age of fifteen. From this union, six children were born. Later in life, in the year of 1985, she married Deacon Julius Williams, known to his grands as, "Papa Smurf."

At the age of 12 years old, her family joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. Her family was part of the building structure of the first St. mark while under the leadership of Pastor Charles Evans. She remained a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan (Delores) Ingram. She served as a doorkeeper in the house of God for many years. She sang in the choir, was a devotional leader, worked with the Missionary Department, and served as a Deaconess on the Deaconess Board. She loved the Lord with all her heart and working in the House of the Lord.

She worked at Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie, FL as the Head Inspector for many years. She became a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn Hotel. After about 35 years of dedicated hard work, she retired from Tropicana as an Orange Grader. She truly enjoyed her retirementin which she became a more faithful worker in the House of the Lord.

Deaconess Anna Brown Williams' death came as no surprise to her family as she has suffered a long time. On March 15, 2021, the Lord plucked his flower and it was time to reunite with her family in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Essie M. Taylor; daughter, Glendora B. Eubanks; brothers, Anderson, Willie, James, Joseph, John Wesley, Spencer, Nathaniel, Jimmy Lee Taylor; and sisters, Julia Bradley and Dorothy McGriff.

Deaconess Anna M. Williams was truly our treasure from the Lord. We that saw it, enjoyed her; and those whom did not know it, missed it. That treasure is in the hearts of her children, Jimmie Jr.(Charlotte) Brown of Fort Pierce, FL, Yvonne (Willie James) Tumblin of Parksley, VA, Victoria (Beral) Toney of Port St. Lucie, FL, Anna (Theotis) Gamble of Cocoa, FL, Marcus L. Brown (Babyboy) of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Israel (Mary) Taylor of Port St. Lucie, FL; her adopted son, Bobby (Debra) Ball of Fort Pierce, FL; grands, great grands, and great-great grands; a very special place in the heart of her granddaughter and primary caretaker, Alicia (Terrence) Daniels of Port St. Lucie, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing friends and familyincluding her St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church family.
