Donald Jerome Cherry was born January 10, 1960 in Fort Pierce, Florida to Charles and Amy Cherry. He attended the Public Schools in St. Lucie County. He resided in Long Island New York for over 30 years. Donald loved all sports, cooking, and being around his family and friends.
On September 12, 2021 God’s angels called Donald to his eternal home in heaven. He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Cherry; Grandparents: Leara Wright and Joe and Mattie Roberts; nieces: Jennifer Jackson Bowers and Ebony Durant.
Donald leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Tanisha Cherry and Shawanna Hopson; son, Antwan Foster; grandchildren: Mikayla and Juilan Foster; mother: Amy Cherry; brother: James (Cassandra Kitt) Greene.; sisters: Gail Greene, Amanda Durant and Angelia Smith Howard; uncles: James (Pearl) Cherry and David (Wanda)) Manning; aunt: Sandra (Dwight) Singleton; nieces: Alisa (Johnny) Thornton and Precious (Gary) Chaney: nephew: Melvin Durant Jr; special cousins: Gerald Faison and Elliott Holland; friends: Tommie Lifhred and Gaskin Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved.
Public visitation for Donald Jerome Cherry will take place on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism House of Prayer in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
