On Thursday, July 8, 2021, Elder Michael Charles Rosson loving husband, father, and brother in Christ transitioned to be with the Lord at the age of 84 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Michael began his dash called life on June 13, 1937, in Tampa, Florida to his parents, General Rosson and Susie McIntosh. He attended Elementary and High School in Tampa. At the age of 78, he received his High School diploma from St. James Academy so that he could attend Trinity Theological Seminary where he received a Bachelor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies. He also received his certificate of Ordination authorizing him to perform all Standard Christian duties and ceremonies on behalf of the Christian faith in complete accordance with the Holy Scriptures. He was proud and honored to be a Mason for over 40 years crossing at the Fort Pierce Masonic Lodge #155 P.H.A.
Michael retired in June 2007 after working as a dedicated cement truck driver at Tarmac of Florida. In recent years he was happiest spending time talking with his children and wife, discussing the word of God, enjoying fellowship with his church family, or talking on his CB radio.
He was a member of Apostle Faith Church of Deliverance where he served in the office of Elder and was faithful in his attendance and responsibilities until his illness. Elder Rosson was a man of great faith and would often quote his favorite scripture, Hebrews 11:6: without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. He will always be remembered for his phrase “It’s already done”, speaking faith into whatever vision God had given.
Elder Rosson was preceded in death by his Mother, Susie McIntosh, Father, General Rosson, Sister, Lenora Gerald, and Daughter, Miriam Rosson Anthony.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Zadie Rowe Rosson of Fort Pierce; five of the six children from his first wife, sons, Michael C Rosson, Jr, and Elder Ron Rosson I, daughters, Toni (Albert Longworth) Rosson-Wells, Sandra Rosson, Cynthia (Marcus) Rosson Suttle; six children from his second wife: sons, Michael T. L. Rosson, Matthew (Kelly) Rosson, Mizell Rosson, daughters, Tangela Rosson Smith, Michaela Rosson, Andrea (Jay) McKinnond; son, Terrance Williams and Rodrick Spivey; Brothers, Morris (Gloria) Jones and Henry Jones; Sister, Cora Rosson; nephews, Donnie Hughes and Tyrone Rosson; godsons, Jordan Banner and Brandon Jones; 39 grand children, 51 great children, 7 great great children, and a host of other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
