Obituary For Erica Palseta Grant

Erica P. Grant was born in Windsor Castle Saint Mary, Jamaica to Mother, Greta Hyatt and Father, Carlton Grant on July 4, 1966. She attended Mary Mount High School and graduated in 1983. She went on to earn a business certificate from Mary Mount Business School in 1985. She held the job of Juvenile Justice Detention Officer II for the Department of Juvenile Justice, St. Lucie Regional Detention Center for 13 years.

She served in both the United States Army and United States Army Reserve for 21 years. She retired from the United States Army Reserve after earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. She received the Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal with ‘M’ Device, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Army Lapel Button, and Expert Badge. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, dancing, singing, and cooking.

Erica P. Grant is survived by her husband, Ray Anthony Davis of Fort Pierce, FL; her children, Patrice and Shanice Grant; her siblings, Gawane Grant, Pamela Henry, Ianthy Grant, Carland Grant, Patrick Grant, Aneita Grant, Cidya Grant, and Mellissia Thompson; her parents, Greta Hyatt and Carlton Grant; her stepmother Aelena Grant; her grandmother, Tama Blake; her aunts and uncles, Ray Boyd, Courtney Boyd, Norris Grant, Claire Thomas, Daphne Grant, and Hortense Grant; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her great grandmother, Catherine Jackson and her step grandfather, Manley Blake.

Visitation for Erica P. Grant will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2:00pm also at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.
