Obituary For Evelyn Freeney Davis

Evelyn Freeney Davis was born March 5,1945 in Fort White, FL, to the late Louis and Artie Vie Freeney. She accepted Christ and focused the rest of her days living for Him.

Evelyn received her basic education from Bethlehem Elementary, and Richardson High School in Lake City, FL. She graduated with the class of 1966, and then pursue a career in nursing assistant.

She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist, under the leadership of Rev. Clarence DeSue. After living in Fort White for many years, she moved to Fort Pierce, FL. to be close to her daughter Teresa Freeney- Williams “Reese”. She attended Miracle Prayer Temple with her daughter until her health begins to decline, then relocated to Miami FL to get the extensive medical care needed.

On Friday, September 17, 2021 at 7:45 am, the Lord decided no more suffering and pain for Evelyn, so He reached down from heaven and gathered another one of His angels to make up His heavenly garden. “The Book of Life” closed for Evelyn Freeney Davis. Preceded in death are her Parents: Louis and Artie Vie Freeney; Brothers: Louis Freeney Jr and Earl “Jackie” Freeney; Father of her children: Frank Elliott.

Those left to cherish Evelyn’s memories and celebrate her life are her Son: Frank B Freeney Daughter: Teresa Freeney-Williams “Reese” Sisters: Vernell Jones (Mervin), Gainesville FL, Mary Alice Freeney, Tampa FL; Brother: Nelo Freeney, Lake City FL, Rudolph Freeney (Ferma Jean), Fort White FL, Rubin Freeney (Jeanette), Lake City FL; Granddaughters: Destini Freeney, Shikinah Williams, Delaney Freeney, Deleiah Freeney, Shinyla Williams; Grandsons: Darrius Freeney, Daethon Freeney; Great grand: Jayda and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public visitation for Evelyn Freeney Davis will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10:00am-11:00am at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL which will be followed by the funeral service which will start promptly at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
