Freddie Leon Williams was born August 30, 1953 to the late Fred Lee Williams and Thedosha Jones in Orlando, FL.
Leon, as he was affectionately referred to by family and friends, was educated in the Saint Lucie County School System. Throughout his life, Leon worked as a cook for various of companies. Outside of work, Leon had a passion for cooking for those in his community.
Leon was a longtime follower of Jesus Christ and his faith was a constant companion during his declining health. As his health allowed, he maintained an active membership with Good News Missionary Baptist Church. There he served as the servant leader over the youth and adult usher boards since 2011. Leon also served on the kitchen ministry.
On May 28, 2020, God called and whispered to Freddie Leon Williams to come and receive his reward in heaven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Lee Williams and Lovie J. Williams; siblings, Robert Williams, James Williams, John Williams, and Bonnie Murrain; special niece, Miracle S. Williams; unconditional loving friend, Rose Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his legacy his children, LaTisha Williams of Vero Beach, FL and LaToya Doe(Marvin) of Hawkinsville, GA; grandchildren, Markesha Doe, Markeria Doe, and Markayla Doe all from Hawkinsville, GA; siblings, Angela Lewis of Tampa, FL, Mary Fusion of Council Buff, Iowa, Joyce Walker of Savannah, GA, and Nakesha Williams of Macon, GA; childhood friend, Beverly A. Washington of Hinesville, GA; godmother, Rena Ragin of Fort Pierce, FL, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.
Public visitation for Freddie Leon Williams will take place on Friday, June 5, 2020 by way of our drive-thru in the rear of Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2:30pm at Good News Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Fort Pierce, FL.
Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID 19 have been relaxed, we here at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
